Alán Gives Talk About the Future of Energy at UNAM

Alán was recently invited to give a talk at his alma mater, the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) in Mexico City. His talk was entitled The Artificial Lab: New Organic Solar Cells and Flow Batteries using Supercomputers. Alán was accompanied by his colleague, Professor Dan Nocera, who spoke about his work to develop an artificial leaf. The entire symposium, titled The Energy of the Future, was organized by Alán’s former undergraduate adviser at UNAM, Professor Carlos Amador-Bedolla. The talks proved extremely popular, with nearly 600 people overflowing two separate lecture halls. Click here for more details about the symposium (in Spanish!) as well as videos of the talks. Congratulations to Alán, Dan, and Carlos!
